Gateway Configuration
Learn how to configure your SMS gateway provider with WSMS.
WSMS supports 300+ SMS gateway providers. This guide shows you how to configure your gateway for optimal performance.
Step 1: Gather Gateway Credentials
Collect these credentials from your SMS provider:

Contact your gateway’s support if you cannot locate these credentials.
Step 2: Connect to WSMS
Option A: Manual Setup
- Navigate to SMS → Settings → SMS Gateway
- Select your SMS provider from the dropdown
- Enter your credentials in the matching fields
- Click Save Changes
Option B: Setup Wizard (v7.0+)
- Go to SMS → Settings → SMS Gateway
- Click Re-run Setup Wizard
- Follow the guided steps
Step 3: Verify Configuration
After saving, check the Gateway Overview panel:

Extra Configuration Options
Additional settings you can configure:
- Admin bar balance display - Show credit in admin bar
- Send SMS page credit visibility - Display balance on send page
- Delivery method - Instant, Scheduled, or Batch
- Unicode message support - For non-Latin characters
- Number space trimming - Clean phone number formatting
- International number restrictions - Limit to specific countries
Testing Your Configuration
Always test your gateway setup:
- Go to SMS → Send SMS
- Enter a test phone number (your own)
- Type a simple message like “Test from WSMS”
- Click Send
- Verify you receive the message
Troubleshooting
Messages Not Sending
- Verify API credentials are correct
- Check your gateway account balance
- Ensure the sender ID is approved
- Check server firewall isn’t blocking API calls
Invalid Sender ID
- Some countries require pre-registered sender IDs
- Use only alphanumeric characters (no special chars)
- Keep sender ID under 11 characters
