Setup

Step 1: Get Bitly API Token

1. Sign up or log in at bitly.com
2. Go to Dashboard → Settings → API
3. Enter your password to verify
4. Generate a new API token
5. Copy the token

Step 2: Configure WP SMS

1. Go to SMS → Settings → Advanced
2. Find URL Shortening via Bitly section
3. Enable Shorten URLs
4. Paste your Bitly API Key
5. Save changes

How It Works

Once configured, any URL in your SMS messages will automatically be shortened using Bitly before sending.

Check our new products: https://example.com/products/category/new-arrivals?utm_source=sms

After:

Check our new products: https://bit.ly/3xYz123
